Caste sanctions

edit

I feel that you need to be aware that articles such as Kallar (caste) are subject to general sanctions. This means that you need to be particularly careful when contributing to the article. I attach the formal explanation below and I also suggest that you read up on our attitude to edit warring, since if you persist in reinstating your contributions without discussion it is very likely that you will be blocked from contributing to Wikipedia for a period and may even be subjected to a wider ban preventing you from contributing to Kallar-related issues for a considerably longer period. Please be careful. - Sitush (talk) 12:26, 22 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions.

Final warning: if you make those same edits to Kallar (caste) again, I will request that you be blocked. Those edits violate several different Wikipedia policies, including WP:NPOV, WP:OR, and WP:V. If you don't understand the policies, please ask and I will explain. But your continued significant disruption has to stop, even if it means we have to prevent you from editing. Qwyrxian (talk) 03:08, 27 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of a day for tendentious editing. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Futhermore, considering you were warned about the extant, community-authorised discretionary sanctions, and yet chose to persist in editing disruptively, I am hereby imposing an editing restriction on you: you are prohibited from making any edits relating to the Kallar caste across all namespaces (i.e. everywhere on Wikipedia) for three months. Please note that this restriction applies to you as a person and not only to this account and that violating this topic ban will result in the imposition of increasing blocks.
