Regarding Your Claims...

Fellow editors, I, being a long-time editor in Wikipedia, would like to discuss why I am allegedly accused of spamming. The article(s) Creative Zen and Creative Zen Vision:M had the website EpiZENter for a year, and I am not a member, nor an affilate of EpiZENter. The link had been in the article(s) before I contributed to them, and thus I am only doing my part to preserve the article(s) when the site's link is removed.

If it does concern my removal of fansites, which unlike EpiZENter and other related sites, does not provide any content that may be helpful to a researcher collecting information of the product, or an user of the product. That is why I removed those links, but not sites like EpiZENter. I assert that no acts of hypocrisy has been committed. I may apologize for using the caps to demand other editors to stop advertising their own fansites.

If you can learn to realize this misunderstanding, I'd be glad. I have decided to remain EpiZENter's link removed until disputes can be settled.Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience caused. --Jw21 (PenaltyKillah) 01:36, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Dear Jw21, I felt that if the article is to contain only official links then EpiZENter would not qualify. I understand from the above that this is not the case and that beneficial content for a user of the product is relevant. In this case I would like to understand why the link I added containing unique troubleshooting content is not appropriate. The articles are for troubleshooting, which is not beneficial for researchers. And the Zen Touch is an end-of-life product. Wikipedia do not wish to use this site as a place for people to find solutions to the defects of their products. Other sites are a muser wiser choice, like Yahoo! Answers or the Creative.com forums (link in the Zen article) For more information, check out Wikipedia:External links#Links normally to be avoided. If you can notice it, many pages in sites like EpiZENter has much more in-depth information, specifications, and reviews that is more detailed than the Creative Zen article alone, just like iriver's IriverWiki. --Jw21 aka PenaltyKillah 16:25, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

I quote from your initial post "...does not provide any content that may be helpful to... an user of the product" I think fixya and the likes hold unique and crucial information for the end user. Think of all the people that have problems troubleshooting the Zen, I'm sure many would turn to Wikipedia to learn more about their product. As for researches, although I agree it wouldn't be my first choice, this is a unique way to understand what are the common problems and defects of the product (just like they would in EpiZENter). Forums of Zen are in abundance, it would seem unfair to stick to one. If you see EpiZenter relevant, Fixya should be relevant as well. 84.229.255.26 19:13, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Your addition to Zen creative

I don't know if you are an affiliate or just made a mistake. The addition of the link to the Amazon sales chart for MP3 players have been practised across several pages about digital audio players. Fan Sites Part 2

I am wondering why you edited the ROCKBOX info under the Gigabeat F series? I downloaded Rockbox after seeing the info posted on Wikipedia and then doing other research.I am really happy with it because I can now play video files and games on what i thought was just an audio player with a nice screen. It is important information for people to know they can now play video and games on the Rockbox. Perhaps they should know about the potentional dangers of it as well, but I haven't heard much bad except to pay attention to build reviews before you download a particular build. There is alot of info on it here-

Hmm... are you the same user who warned me to be "diplomatic" with fan sites?

Normally, third-party/open-source support/software would not be greatly featured on a product article (see external link changes in Creative ZEN), unless it gives it a significant improvement. (For example, Rockbox/various open-source firmwares gives the iPod OGG support and others, but it is not mentioned.) Oh thanks! Well there isn't really any route to editing in Wikipedia. Just start with articles concerning your interest, then grow from minor editing to clean-ups and such. 1) Many reverts involve cleaning up vandalism. No explanation need, eh? Userbox search

is broken. Please fix it.

Actually, this sort of thing seems to happen quite often when you have several dozen userboxes. This is the third time I've found a previously working userbox broken and asked a user to fix it (which they all graciously did). But then, I don't know how to create or fix userboxes myself, and I don't want to simply delete them either, since if the userbox didn't apply to me, I wouldn't have put it in my userpage.

However, the problem is with the image itself, so I've used its duplicate, which MAY be deleted too soon... Thanks. I don't understand both why the images associated with images get deleted or even if it's possible to get to the image page associated with a userbox. All I know is userboxes are a fun little touch to user pages. Also, the current search method you mentioned is very inefficient, and many of the links go to pages without any userboxes. So, I just got the userboxes I have from going to userbox archives, and copying applicable userboxes from user pages I see (assuming they're easily copyable. Some seem to be embedded in a sort of text box, without any "edit this section" tabs, and when you press "edit this page", all you get is a few lines dealing with the text box. Don't mention it. It seems that you are an enthusiastic user who wants to learn how to make userboxes for fun's sake. No, I don't, but my friend does. See, he uses custom firmware on his PSP. I backed up his memory stick files on my desktop before performing an upgrade for him. Supercouple article

• Hey, Justin. I was thinking about putting Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, as well as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner on the celebrity supercouple list, but although those two couples are both celebrity couples, they don't seem to be a supercouple in the true elevated sense of what a celebrity supercouple is, such as what went on with the high interest in Bennifer. I'm trying to keep the mention of soap opera supercouples or celebrity supercouples a valid mention in providing links that state them as a supercouple or a power couple, and I couldn't find any sources stating that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are a supercouple, except for a blog. I did find an official source state Marc Anothony and Jennifer Lopez as a supercouple...and I found a link that points out Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner as a couple of high interest, so I'll leave both of those couples on the list for now, but I might be tempted to remove them later, and I hope that you don't mind that I traded out your links with two other links as two those two couples...and switched the placement as well to go with alphabetical order as to the woman's last name.

Your help is definitely wanted in bettering the article. As for sources for supercouples within other media, such as television, film, literature, video games, and toys, it's more about providing links to Top Couple lists that mention those couples, or an article on those couples that state how highly important those couples are or were, though the toys Ken and Barbie are directly called a supercouple...just as any celebrity supercouple is. Unusual Adoption Request

Hi! Im an English teacher in Toluca Mexico (west of Mexico City). My Advanced B classes will be contributing to Wikipedia as the focus of their English course for Fall 2007. I am looking for people who would like to mentor my students (who will be working in groups) as they do the following assignments: Edit and article (adding a citation), writing a stub with a citation, translating an English language article for Spanish Wikipedia and for the final project, writing a full article for English Wiki (they can expand on the stub mentioned previously). What I would like to do is put a list of "mentors/adopters" on my talk page as a kind of short cut for my students, who have limited time to get things done. The semester begings Aug 6, but the real Wikipedia work wont begin until the beginning of Sept. If you would like to add your name to my list, please go to my talk page and add it there, perhaps with a short introduction, if you like.
