Welcome!

Hello, Jseipel, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I'm glad to see that you have registered. I've responded to your comments both on my Talk page and on the Lolita page where we first met. This is a pretty-standard template that people place on your Talk page to get things rolling and to provide a useful list of how-to links - the guide articles are pretty good, I find. I refer to them often.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  - Corporal Tunnel 18:08, 17 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguating Lolita edit

Oh, and by the way - if you haven't already found it, you might be interested in the Lolita disambiguation page. The reference back to the Nabokov page suggests that someone else has wanted to deal with the language puzzle, so it looks like a page that will be useful to people, if you decide to start it. - Corporal Tunnel 18:24, 17 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Going to create a page Lolita (term) in an attempt to move the things from the Lolita novel's page to someplace where they fit better. I'm afraid that it isn't going to be a very extensive article, though. Jseipel 21:43, 17 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well done, J. You rock the Wiki. - Corporal Tunnel 22:34, 17 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
:D I am very excited about this development. Thank you for your help. Jseipel 22:41, 17 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Anthropology Collaboration of the month edit

Hello. I noticed that you signed up for WikiProject Anthropology and thought that you might be interested in participating in the Collaboration of the Month. This month's article is Marvin Harris. Thanks. Stilgar135 19:30, 10 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Availability for Wikipedia:WikiProject_Anthropology/Collaboration_of_the_month edit

The probable sorry state of 'core anthropology' articles on Wikipedia has been recently identified here

As a self-nominated Wikipedia:WikiProject_Anthropology member, I thought I'd check on your interest and willingness to see anthropology better represented on Wikipedia? Bruceanthro (talk) 14:54, 20 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Lolita (term) edit

The article Lolita (term) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:DICDEF. In fact, the Wiktionary entry contains more information that this stub.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
