Your edit to Christian Keiber edit

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Christian Keiber. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0444999/bio in this case) or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Christian Keiber with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Christian Keiber with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:Christian Keiber saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.

re: Why do you keep deleting my page??? edit

I have permission to create a page for Christian keiber from Christian keiber himself.

I have authority to copy the data from his own website as a bio.

I am copying the data from IMDB because it is a list of facts and I have been trying to edit it to make it unique. How am I supposed to make a list of facts unique??? The list on imbd shows the name of the show, the year, the name of the episode, etc. I am trying to reorder them and change punctuation but am I NEVER supposed to be able to list Christian's biography online ever again??? Is it not his data???

I am so mad because the page I worked hard on is completely gone and I have to make the whole freakin thing again.

What do I have to do to prove I have all appropriate authority? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jsantandrea (talkcontribs) 18:49, 14 May 2007 (UTC).Reply

Unfortunately, that article is copyright of IMDB. You can't use it, period. (See [1] in particular.) I invite you to put the information in your own words. Thank you, Fang Aili talk 18:59, 14 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Joseph Santandrea edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Joseph Santandrea, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No indication that the subject meets the guidelines for inclusion.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. §FreeRangeFrog 06:02, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:Joseph santandrea.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Joseph santandrea.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Radiant chains (talk) 08:10, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:ChristianKeiber Celebrity Image.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:ChristianKeiber Celebrity Image.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. GrapedApe (talk) 13:12, 11 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Christian Keiber photo edit

Hello Graped Ape, I would like to petition for the undeletion of the photo you removed from Christian Keiber. The notes explain there is no credit on the photo. I know Christian Keiber and he gave me his head shot to post. How do I credibly make it clear that it is ok to be posted? He owns the headshot and it is not necessary to credit the photographer. Thanks, Joe — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jsantandrea (talkcontribs) 14:30, 20 January 2012 (UTC) (reposed from my talk)Reply

    • If you are not the copyright owner of the image, then you need to have the copyright owner (Christian Keiber or his agent, I would presume) email the Wikipedia:Volunteer Response Team with 1) some evidence that they are the legitimate copyright owner of the headshot and 2) a legally binding copyright release of the image into a wikipedia-compatible "free license" like CC-BY-SA or GFL. See Wikipedia:Copyrights for more. I know this is complicated, but Wikipedia is the "free" encyclopedia, so everything has to be freely licensed. Ask any questions to Wikipedia:OTRS noticeboard.--GrapedApe (talk) 05:59, 21 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
