No, dates of birth are never linked like that. There's a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia but it's an interesting journey - Happy Editing! PamD 16:02, 9 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Dates in infoboxes

edit

Hallo, I see you've added a lot of dates to infoboxes. Useful stuff, but it's better to use the templates which are provided, although commented out. See what I did with Parsons here. The death template provides age at death automatically; and I think that using either of the templates probably helps the info to be harvested for other applications. I've reverted your links in lead sentences, but not spent time on the infoboxes. Happy Editing! PamD 16:19, 9 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Senn High School, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 18:24, 26 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

User generated sources

edit

Hi Jpidelwiki, I noticed you've been adding birth and death dates. Unfortunately, many of the sites you're citing aren't typically considered reliable sources. You can learn more about Find a Grave at WP:FINDAGRAVE-EL. Similarly, Prabook is also user generated, which typically makes it not reliable to cite on Wikipedia (WP:USERGENERATED). Is the issue that I should not cite Find a Grave, but provide an external link instead, or is the issue that you don't accept the information on dates of birth or death except what can be verified by "experts" despite said dates appearing on the tombstones of said individuals? (unfortunately, the exact dates of birth and death of architects often go uncited even in many books, but that does not mean the dates of birth and death are unknown).
