Requested move

edit

Hi Jonny. I performed your requested move to Lights (Ellie Goulding album). I think in future something as uncontroversial as that could be done at Wikipedia:RM#Uncontroversial requests instead of with a formal move discussion, but no harm done. In this and this edit you removed everything from the Hilary Duff discography article, except for the album sections, which is seen as vandalism. Just because an article has a lot of content does not mean that it is unorganised. It was actually perfectly readable and went by Wikipedia's standards until you came along. Please go to WP:DISCOGRAPHY to educate yourself on discography articles (on the same page, the Hilary Duff discography is even a featured discography which proves that your edits were unnecessary). Hi

edit

Sorry about all the confusion! I think it works better (as you suggested) to have a separate discog rather than awards list, so I was bold and went ahead and split it! You're obviously more knowledgeable than I, so I'd appreciate it if you could patch it up. If you want something to use as a guide, I'd suggest Miley Cyrus discography or Taylor Swift discography. Get in touch if you need anything from me. Best, HJ Mitchell | fancy a chat? 02:56, 20 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hey. It's absolutely no problem. =] I was about to write a message thanking you for understanding. I am currently working on the Florence and the Machine discography and I will certainly take into consideration your suggestions. Thank you very much for your help. Take care, Jonny (talk) 03:02, 20 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

The American Jewels EP

edit

Hey. I noticed that you took out information about the US release of the album and the release of "The American Jewels EP" claiming it to be fake. Do you have a source for that? I added it back in and added more sources; Including a direct press release from her US label. (Chop Shop Records which is under Atlantic Records). Please keep conversation on this page as I will be watching it. Thanks. Greekboy (talk) 09:29, 5 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Apologies for my undo. The sources I checked did not look reliable, and when I did my own research I found nothing. I have just found a link to the official press release on AtlanticRecords.com which I will be replacing with the current sources (but keeping this source) to avoid anymore confusion. Sorry for the mix-up. =] Jonny (talk) 13:16, 5 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Alright sounds good. Glad we cleared that up. Greekboy (talk) 19:51, 5 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

April, 2010

edit

I am sorry but can we keep the new photo of Mika (singer) for his wikipage as he had mentioned that he did not like the old one on a radio programme recently. Thank you! Southyears (talk) 00:21, 4 April 2010

I have not been removing the image, but the image you uploaded is in fact a copyright violation. The image has already been requested for deletion. I suggest you educate yourself about uploading images onto Wikipedia. Also, if you find your edits have been undone, it must be for a valid reason. Do not continue to re-add your removed content, like you did here, here, here and here. If you feel your edit didn't deserve to be undone or removed, please discuss this with the user on their talk page (or the article's discussion page). Please avoid edit warring in future.

Thanks, Jonny (talk) 16:58, 3 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I am sorry for being ignorant and all disturbance I have made before. I will try to join the discussion on the page instead of repeating my foolish acts. Sorry and thank you! Southyears (talk) April 2010

Fair use rationale for File:MatDHollywoodMusicVideo.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:MatDHollywoodMusicVideo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? feydey (talk) 18:45, 8 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
