Translations

edit

When you want to import an article from Dutch Wikipedia, don't just plug it into Google Translate and then copy-and-paste the results. Especially don't do that with the full content of the article source; for instance, filenames aren't supposed to be translated. Also, you should at least read the article through to make sure there aren't any grossly obvious translation errors (like the surname "De Boodt" becoming "The Boodt").

Thank you for trying, though. DS (talk) 14:26, 15 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Paul Byttebier

edit

The article Paul Byttebier has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:BIO. Apart from two obituaries on the local pages of the newspaper (pages with news per village, only printed in regional editions), no reliable sources significantly about him; most sources given are at best passing mentions, or unreliable, or not about him at all but about people loosely related (like the career of the son of a student in an art school he cofounded).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
