Hi. The page was a "blatant advertisement" for the subject. Plus, a biography needs verifiable third-party sources to establish notability. You'll find detailed help with the layout at WP:YFA and the notability requirements at WP:NOTABILITY. You're free to create an article on the subject, but it has to meet the notability requirements and be free of promotional language. Good luck! --PMDrive1061 (talk) 00:23, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I reviewed your feedback and went through and made changes in the places mentioned. It would be great if you could repost so I can edit it and you can review it again. I am new at this, and am fully aware that it is possible to make mistakes here and there.

Spam in Paige premium denim

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Paige premium denim, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Paige premium denim is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Paige premium denim, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Since it's likely that Paige premium denim will be deleted soon, I'm going to reproduce the gist of a note that I left on its talk page. I examined the article and, while it seems to fall under the WP:SPAM guidelines, it's possible that the individual who started the company might be sufficiently notable to justify an article, based on the People magazine article and that she's listed as the co-author of a book. I have to agree that the company doesn't seem to have sufficient references represented in the article to justify the somewhat exaggerated claims for the company's products. If the article about the company gets deleted, you might look at creating an article for the person. Accounting4Taste:talk 21:39, 17 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

As reviewing administrator, I deleted the article as advertising. there is difference between an encyclopedia article, which is informative, and an advertisement, which is intended to persuade someone about the merits of the product. See our FAQ (on businesses and other organisations) for informa tion on this. Links to PR sites and company web sites to do serve the purpose of providing 3rd party independent reliable published sources, print or online (but not blogs or press releases, or material based on press releases). Speedy deletion of Paige premium denim

edit

A tag has been placed on Paige premium denim, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 06:28, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
