Orphaned fair use image (Image:ReproMAX-logo.gif) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:ReproMAX-logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hei!

Non-free use disputed for Image:WSLogo.gif edit

      This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:WSLogo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:19, 14 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

    Your VandalProof Application edit

Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Jkstark. As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank again for your interest in VandalProof. βcommand 13:59, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

    Proposed deletion of ReproMax edit

The article ReproMax has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

    No evidence of notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic) edit

Hi. I was wondering if you would be interested in contributing articles to Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic)? It needs contributors to increase diversity of content from different countries and bring about large scale improvements. The idea at some point will be to host a National Contest related to your country of interest. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:15, 21 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

    Europe 10,000 Challenge invite edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 09:13, 6 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

    Request reason:

Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP block is 2001:470:1F07:465::/64. This block is the assigned Hurricane Electric netblock for me, as accessed using a tunnel setup due to a lack of native IPv6 access. From experience with HE, the 2001:470:1f07:: address range is entirely used for tunneled connections for individual accounts, with a /64 assigned to each. This is not a web host or a colo... Jkstark (talk) 04:16, 3 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

    Decline reason:

Unfortunately, anyone can create an account, and receive a /64 (or /48) allocation there, and change them at will. As such, the tunnel service functions identically to an open proxy, and is blocked per WP:NOP.

If you have a need to edit via open / anonymizing proxies, please see WP:IPECPROXY, for instructions on how to request IP Block Exemption. !ɘM γɿɘυϘ⅃ϘƧ 05:57, 3 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This seems rather arbitrary; similarly it is possible to get a different IPv4 address though multiple different systems - be that standard "wireline" ISPs or via mobile network access. In many cases it is not difficult at all to change addresses, or even use multiple different configurations for accessing any site. With HE's tunneling, getting an allocation is not difficult, but not instant either, and significantly more trouble than trying to get a different IPv4 address. With these addresses, it is just as easy to say that, for instance, my address is 2001:470:1f07:456::/64 - ie any address within that prefix. Can I change that? To an extent, yes. Can I change my IPv4 address? Yes, absolutely - in fact, my IPv6 address is much more likely to remain static as opposed to my IPv4 address. Further, I am logged on, so there should be no question as to who I am - regardless of where I am connecting from. Jkstark (talk) 22:08, 3 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
