Currently the subject's strongest claim to notability is that they've been inducted to the University of Illinois College of Engineering Hall of Fame (see WP:ANYBIO). However, the gold standard for notability is significant coverage in multiple independent secondary sources, and without that the article is at risk of being nominated for deletion.
