Hello, Jhohbein, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Notes

edit

Hi, I have some notes on your article:

  • I removed a sentence about the article's intent. This is unnecessary, as the lead and title should tell the reader what the article is about.
  • This needs editing to remove any original research. I'm concerned that some of the sources don't seem to back up the specified claims. Keep in mind that we can only summarize what has been explicitly stated in the source material. There is also content without sourcing. All content needs to be sourced with reliable sources.
  • Be extremely careful when it comes to sourcing. Make sure that the sources are as neutral as possible, as some sources may not accurately represent the data. Since this does sometimes dip into health territory, I would like you to take this training module on the topic. Essentially, you want to avoid using popular press sources since those aren't always accurate with health information. You also use studies, which should be avoided because they're primary sources for any of the information and results created by its authors. The module covers this more.

I hope this helps. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:40, 15 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
