Fair use rationale for Image:BeatlesFamilyGuy.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:BeatlesFamilyGuy.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Reverts edit

You reverted my removal of your unreferenced and trivial additions to Stewie Loves Lois and Mother Tucker. I have reverted you, as they are trivial and unreferenced and do not belong in an encyclopedia. Do not revert this again. Qst (talk) 00:10, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hyundai timeline edit

At the same time, you can't guarantee that Hyundai won't spring upon us a sudden, unexpected redesign. It does not exist currently in any form or another, therefore we cannot claim it does. People have used blogs and rumors to extend lines on other timelines (such as the Lexus timeline) and have been proven wrong (for instance, the RX was not redesigned for MY09, contrary to speculations). At the same time, there are people in WP:Auto that feel the timelines should be by CY and not MY, further invalidating your extension of lines. Butterfly0fdoom (talk) 20:05, 26 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Dark Knight edit

Hello and thank you for adding an image of Two-Face to The Dark Knight (film). (I also noticed that you placed it in the relevant spot!) However, I'm removing it for the time being since Two-Face was purposely not marketed for the film, and I think it is too easy to come across the image and be spoiled by it (as opposed to plot details in the Plot section). I've started discussion and invite you to weigh in so we can see about building consensus and figuring out the best way to go about this. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 19:49, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for pitching in. We'll see how other editors feel. I want to make the point, though, that I do not mind the eventual inclusion of the image. Just consider that The Dark Knight has not come out in the UK and other territories, so such a clear image of Two-Face may upset some. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 20:11, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I thought Eckhart did a great job, too. His role wasn't really advertised, so it was a nice surprise to see such a developed character. I was expecting a pretty bad disfigurement, but when I saw Two-Face, I felt briefly sick to my stomach. Jones's role was wayyy too campy. :) I hope we don't go back to the Schumacher universe ever again. What do you think should be in the third Nolan film, if there is one? —Erik (talkcontrib) - 20:20, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I also think that Catwoman should make an appearance because the next film needs a new female role. I'm not so sure about The Riddler, though... I've noticed a lot of fans debating the casting choices, but they have to remember the thematic arc of Nolan's films. Like you said, we don't want to repeat the Joker's chaos, but how do we top that? The situation in Gotham City was as serious as it could get, you know? I'm not sure about the Joker being re-cast... unlike with Rachel Dawes, it would be such a visible difference. Ledger's really set the bar, especially with all the awards talk going on. I'm not completely opposed to the idea of Robin, but definitely ditch the costume and take the Nightwing approach. I think that there is a potential father-son relationship that could be built up, but it would have to be done really well. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 20:37, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:FoxOhioValley.JPG) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:FoxOhioValley.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:12, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Move of MY-YTV to WYTV-DT2 edit

I was disappointed to see your move of MY-YTV to WYTV-DT2 for two reasons. First, it was without discussion or any type of rationale. I am okay with the move but nowhere on either article's talk page did you discuss your reasoning. Second, you simply did a 'copy and paste' move. If you look at the tabs at the top of articles, you will see a "Move" tab, which is the proper way to move an article and its talk page. It allows for the article history to be preserved, which in this case it wasn't. As it sits, the Talk:MY-YTV remains where it is with several Wikiprojects tagging it and an image use notice. Those items should have been moved. If you are unclear on moving pages, I invite you to read Help:Moving a page. Please let me know if you have any questions. --Daysleeper47 (talk) 14:20, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I noticed you have been warned by User:Boothy443 two years ago about this issue. I would hope you would have learned. --Daysleeper47 (talk) 15:04, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re:CBS Radio Template. edit

Hi. I'm glad you asked that question. Well, since I got the news from Radio-Info.com about this, I was wondering which clusters are gonna be sold. And since CBS Radio won't tell, I went down the list and marked the stations by Arbitron market size. Knowing that the major market stations are 1 to 20, they are left alone. The rest of the clusters from #21 on are targeted for the pending sale(s). The only other reliable source I can give you is this one from the Los Angeles Times, but I do know that KRAK in Hesperia, California (listed as #120 by Abitron and despite being under ownership of CBS is airing programming from ABC Radio [go figure]) is definitely one of the ones up for sale.

What I don't understand is that why would KDKA (AM) be up for sale when it has sister TV station KDKA-TV? If the divestion goes through both KDKA-AM and KDKA-TV would have to maintain a partnership, unless the potential new owners changes its callsign and format.

If I happen to find anymore reliable sources, you'll be one of the first to know. Have a nice evening. Mbrstooge (talk) 02:52, 4 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:ScottTheDick.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:ScottTheDick.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 00:10, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

WTAP-DT2/WTAP-DT3 edit

Hello, I have noticed a couple of your edits adding WikiLinks for WTAP-DT2 and WTAP-DT3. As it stands right now, both of these pages are redlinks. Did you have plans of making pages for these two stations? If not, then I will knock out the redlinks. If you are, (great!) I will leave them be. Please let me know if I can be of assistance. Take Care....NeutralHomerTalk 03:46, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:FoxYoungstown.jpg} edit

Thank you for uploading Image:FoxYoungstown.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Minor edits edit

You mark almost all of your edits as minor, and most of them are not minor edits. Adding or deleting sentences, sources, categories, or entire sections of an article are not minor edits. Please mark edits as minor only if they genuinely are minor edits (see Wikipedia:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one is considered rude. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' Please click "My preferences" at the top of the page, click the "Editing" tab, and uncheck "Mark all edits minor by default". Thank you. Ward3001 (talk) 22:48, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
