Division by Zero

edit

Hey thanks for reading my page and correcting my use of the word proof.

So, you're saying in order to define the division by zero requires the getting rid of rules of math. The goal then is to give up as few as possible?

I read the article about wheel theory. but honestly, I don't really understand it.

Yes, by using the established rules one can prove that one cannot divide by zero. So, if this proof is to be incorrect, one of the rules used must be wrong. So, any attempt to divide by zero must force us to give up at least one of these rules. The goal need not be to give up as few rules as possible, but to find a way to work with the new rules in a convenient way. Jesper Carlstrom (talk) 11:22, 9 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

alright, makes sense. Freenaulij (talk) 04:10, 14 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
