Request reason:

Hello, Please unblock my account, I am new to wikipedia so I did not fully understand that certain articles could not be added. I tried my best with my first article, obviously I failed miserably. I don't plan on writing any more articles, until I get a lot more experience. I apologize for any mistakes I made. I feel I have made some good contributions, for example I edited the following wikipedia pages: Tom Brady (in which I received a high + rating, I added comments about him breaking the record for most cumulative touchdowns in super bowl history, I also cited sources to support this. Other pages I edited was Vernon Ellis, I corrected the year he started serving as chairman of the English National Opera, as it was 2005 instead of 2006, and I cited the source, which was the British Council (highly reputable). I also did other contributions for example I provided additional information for professional ice hockey player Boris Ertel, I added his position, the date he was born, and whether he shoots left or right handed. Also when I made the mistake I had talk conversations with other admins trying to understand. I tried to be as transparent as I could be, and I don't think a block is necessary. I do feel that I am not ready to write articles yet, as a result I will just continue to edit articles instead, until I get more experience. Thank you for your time. Again I apologize for any mistakes made on my part, I need to only write articles using independent sources or articles worthy of notability, I better understand this now and I fully acknowledge my mistake. More importantly I understand my mistake, and I apologize for it. I am asking for a second chance to be able to contribute to wikipedia. If unblocked you will have no further problems from my account, I promise. Thank you for your consideration. Jerieth (talk) 20:27, 4 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Accept reason:

Unblocked per the below Nick-D (talk) 22:47, 4 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jerieth, what topics are you likely to work on if your block was lifted? Nick-D (talk) 21:49, 4 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Nick-D: Topics related to Sports, History, and Technology. I have a background in IT (Masters in Information Technology). I read a lot articles related to technology on Wikipedia. I use Wikipedia regularly for variety of things, and have always found it useful. If I see any mistakes, I just want the ability to correct them. Wikipedia has given me quite a bit and saved me a lot of time on more than a few occasions, so I just wanted to give something back. I also wanted to better understand how Wikipedia worked, which was the another reason I joined. I would be active and helpful, and would stick to fact based editing only. OK, assuming good faith I've unblocked your account - I note that your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PlayNSwap also indicate good faith on your part. Happy editing, but please stay well clear of topics relating to PlayNSwap. ‎Nick-D (talk) 22:47, 4 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
