Speedy deletion of Sanaz shirazi

edit

A tag has been placed on Sanaz shirazi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ╟─TreasuryTagcontribs─╢ 16:13, 28 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Sanaz shirazi, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Omarcheeseboro (talk) 16:28, 28 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Sanaz shirazi. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.   Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia. However, please know that editors do not own articles and should respect the work of their fellow contributors on Sanaz Shirazi. If you create or edit an article, know that others are free to change its content. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Wuhwuzdat (talk) 14:44, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Even if you create an article, you don't own it. And that means you can't just delete it when you want to. And the article is actually alright now, but when you created it it looked like it was advertising rather than just telling its facts. There is a fine line between advertising and stating facts. Don't feel bad about it, you are not the first editor to fall foul of this fine line and you won't be the last. Queenie Talk 14:45, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
What don't they like about it? I'll see if I can change it to their satisfaction and also comply with WP guidelines. Queenie Talk 14:53, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Just write on this page what you think the article should be like. Then I'll go over it and see what needs to be done. Queenie Talk 15:21, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Sanaz Shirazi

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sanaz Shirazi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
