September 2010 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Mongoose appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe this important core policy. Thank you. Anaxial (talk) 09:46, 19 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

October 2010 edit

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Disco Demolition Night. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Please stop adding overly-wordy personal reflections to articles, this is an encyclopedia. Kindzmarauli (talk) 01:40, 6 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Disco Demolition Night. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. The stuff you are adding to Disco Demolition Night has nothing to do with the event. It is about Disco music, your own personal analysis (including peacock words), and violates WP:UNDUE. Frankly, it does not belong in that article and as you can clearly see, I am not the only person who feels this way. Please stop adding gobs of text about tangentially related topics to this article as it is very quickly becoming disruptive. Kindzmarauli (talk) 22:02, 6 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Additionally, your addition of templates to my and others' talk pages is wrong. For one thing, the template added has nothing to do with anything, as we haven't added anything needing citations, we're reverting your additions. If you do not cease your disruptive behavior you will be reported. Kindzmarauli (talk) 22:05, 6 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Disorderly conduct article edit

I didn't realize that the link was a redirect to Henry Louis Gates arrest controversy. Your change is probably correct. In fact, I would actually support going further--there's almost nothing to support that the incident has any relevance to the article, let alone to be mentioned in the See also section. I was a little more concerned about your edit summary though. Frankly the hyperbole raised my attention. Stated factually, I agree with your change, and would support removing that "see also" link altogether. Shadowjams (talk) 08:10, 8 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
