Hello Daniel and welcome to Wikipedia. I saw your panicky message on Carbohydrate catabolism -- the formulas are pretty much fixed there now. They aren't wikified, like we've done on List of compounds. You should have a look at that page (just click edit) to see the best way to do it. Don't use <math>, just use HTML. A few other tips:

  • Sign your messages on talk pages and maintenance pages like Wikipedia:Pages needing attention using four tildes ~~~~. The software automatically converts it to a name and a date.
  • Don't put underscores in links -- the software automatically converts spaces to underscores
  • Read Wikipedia:How to edit a page for more information

If you want to know anything about the list of compounds or the inorganic property tables, I'm the one to ask, since I started both. Have fun.

Thanks alot, many of my articles are rushed so far. I am spending most of my time researching and writing about embryology and pregnancy for the rewrite of the pregnancy article. The pages on lipid/carbohydrate/protein anabolism/catabolism were mostly stubs, meant to just give an overview to pages that had dead links.

Again, its nice to be welcomed here. Thanks, I hope to contribute to the List of compounds, and Inorganic compound lists. I had quite abit of information from reference material at home, and notes written from my chemistry lessons. Also, I quite enjoy searching the web for safety information, information and chemical diagrams of new compounds I havent seen very much.

I am having trouble figuring out how to do subscripts, I will look at how you have fixed the page to see. Thanks for looking out for my mistakes. :)

I had my doubts about Patrick's addition at solar radiation too, and at first the only reason I put it back in after the edit conflict was because I know he generally does good work, and wouldn't put something like that in just to be a smart aleck. Then, figuring there must be some reason for what he did, I checked the "What links here" for that page, and sunshine is, sure enough, a redirect to solar radiation, so I would think he'd put that in there for people who followed that redirect to get there. -- John Owens 16:52 Apr 23, 2003 (UTC)

Oh I complete forgot to do that, perhaps he is was right. I think ill add it back and appologise. I simply saw that in the Wikipidia list of requested articles and decided to write up the article.

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
