Strange... from your technical skills on Wikipedia I assumed you were an established user, yet here I find a blank talk page! Well, here, have a welcome template:

Welcome!

Story of my life. "Oh, you're new here?" The "technical skills" you elude to are just a lot of searching with the wonderful Firefox plugin. :) --JStalk 20:13, 27 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

About your comment edit

I have removed that comment today (I can see why you brought it up) but the CVU is not about baiting it is about stopping. (And BTW I have commented on your comment on the MfD) Æon Insanity Now!EA! 03:29, 29 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oh and the vandalism to my page is from reverting over 700 vandals. You take some flack when your a vandal fighter. Æon Insanity Now!EA! 03:33, 29 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

If a police officer went on television after capturing a robbery suspect and said, "you better watch out, robbers, I got this guy!", what do you think the reaction would be?
The "taking flack" that you tell me about here, can, in my opinion, be chalked up to the fact that you rub it in vandals' faces, just like you did here. Vandals aren't stupid, they'll look at your commitments and see that you're proud of what you do, and vandalize further just to spite you. --JStalk 03:35, 29 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Double test2 edit

Funny thing about that double warning. I don't know how it happened, because your edit wasn't there when I clicked edit, and I didn't get a conflict... but somehow your timestamp is earlier than mine. eh??? That is exceedingly strange. But as you said, it's late, we might be all losing it. Well, in any case, it's all good. My test2 which comes before your test2 on the page is now unofficially a test1. In any case, it probably doesn't matter at all. This is the IP's only edit in a month, so they're not on a vandalism tear at this point...:D --- Deville (Talk) 07:52, 17 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Speedy closes on AfD edit

Pretty much it's a grey area, if something doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of passing (aka a deletion in that case) often it gets speedy closed. When I took a look I saw so many keeps it seemed silly to keep it open. Oh, and no I didn't vote count, voting is evil, it's a discussion not a vote. -- Tawker 00:54, 20 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

You're talking to the wrong IP address chief edit

I didn't put the "test" in the Tobacco article, I removed it. I'm a Software Engineer, trust me, I know what I'm doing. (I've written several technology-related articles on my company's own wiki.) That said, I'm sure it was just an honest mistake and you seem to be a great deal more active on Wikipedia than I, so carry on, haha. Peace out.

Barnstar on Userpage edit

The barnstar on your userpage was awarded by the Sockpupppet of a vandal. I would suggest to you kindly to remove it.Arbiteroftruth 15:23, 13 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

In response to your unpleasant (at best) message, the CVU is a group of people dedicated to a Wikipedia that will not be adversely affected by Vandalism. We fight it at every turn. I cannot, in any form of sanity, understand why you are supporting BB and his evil cabal of vandals who only intend to destroy what is arguably the best collaboration project in this generation.

Barnstars are awarded by upstanding users of Wikipedia that serves as a reward of what you are doing. Relishing over a vandal-awarded barnstar (what I called Poisoned Barnstars) is unethical, at best. If you want to relish that Poisoned Barnstar that is awarded by the Antichrist, then it is your right to do so.

If you try to delete CVU again, I will fight it. CVU will live as long as Wikipedia lives. Arbiteroftruth 05:13, 11 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppetry edit

Please do not accuse two good-faith editors with a long history of good contributions sockpuppets, as you appeared to do so here.[1] It comes across as incivil and a violation of WP:AGF. If you harbour doubts about the validity of the votes of myself and Folantin, then please pursue the case at WP:RFCU. If you persist in these accusations of sockpuppetry I will have no hesitation in opening a case at Wikipedia:Personal attack intervention noticeboard and/or lodging a WP:RFC. Thank you. Very good. My apologies for the misunderstanding. I has taken great exception to Waltclip's accusations of sockpuppety above at that MfD (which were really unambiguous) and I thought that you were agreeing with him. Again, my apologies for the mistake and also for what was probably a slightly over-harsh tone to my comment above - all I wanted was clarification. Since nobody thinks that anybody is anyone's sock after all, shall we let the matter rest there? Best, Moreschi 10:05, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image:KEZI-9.gif edit

Hello, Jed S. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:KEZI-9.gif) was found at the following location: User:Jed S/KEZI. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 16:22, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your "Advert" tag on TWiki page edit

Could you please explain why you put the "Advert" tag on the TWiki page? The article reflects pretty much how TWiki is used at the workplace. -- User:PeterThoeny - 05:11, 21 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:30, 14 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
