Welcome

edit

Hi there. Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like it here and stick around. If you want, you can drop us a note at Wikipedia:New user log to introduce yourself.

I noticed your work on Dominion of Melchizedek. This page is right now the focus of an arbitration case and is very controversial. This is very much the exception on Wikipedia. It looks like you bring some expertise to the project and that's most welcome, but now may be a difficult time to get any changes implemented. I wonder if you might be willing to hold off on making any changes to Dominion of Melchizedek and related pages until the arbitration case is settled?

Just to be clear, my request is no more than that: a request. My position and status at Wikipedia is no different from your own. Moreover, I know nothing much about DoM; I just blundered into the page, and the controversy, a few weeks ago.

Anyway, it looks like you have many of the basics figured out, but you might want to take the Tutorial. It gives a lot of information to get you oriented on Wikipedia.

You can sign your name on talk pages by using three tildes (" ~~~ ") for your username and four (" ~~~~ ") for your username and a timestamp.

If you want to talk about DoM, the talk page is the place to discuss the article. If you have any other questions about Wikipedia then check out Wikipedia:Help or add a question to the Help desk. You can also ask me a question on my talk page.

Please hold off on editing the Melchizedek article, especially to insert inflammatory or non-neutral language, until the arbitration matter has reached some resolution. There has been extensive discussion over the version history before you started editing, and you should discuss your proposals on the article discussion page. Thanks. -EDM 01:57, 21 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

I would also like to also caution you about editing this article. We have worked hard to maintain a cease fire in terms of revert wars (changing the article back and forth between two diffrent versions) by those involved during arbitration. This is tenative at best and any kind of changes to the article could set off the revert war again. As Tom and EDM have stated, a group of users that are involved with the Dominion of Melchizedek page are making a case before the arbitration committee because of the behavior of other editors. While Tom and EDM are not part of the case, they are aware of what is going on and they are trying to help keep the peace which is greatly appreciated. I hope you will also appreciate the situation and respect the compromise in terms of not reverting the page. Thanks.. Davidpdx 04:04, 21 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Unused personal photo. Out of scope.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
