Hi japson88: Great to see you on board! Tried to find you a wikilove soccer ball, but Hershey's will have to suffice. Ok, I knew you were fluent in French, but Russian? Seriously? When do you have time to study Russian? Oishiisou (talk) 19:53, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hiya Oishiisou - so my question here - do I respond to you here or on your page?! Thanks for the hersey bar - might need some water wings to keep me afloat here! Easy on the fluent part for Russian... I am Russian and am INTERESTED in relearning what I heard in my youth ;) lol. I don't think my small battery of communicative words would get me through! Hey Liz, this is Jill-username Haidill. How are you? So glad you are taking this course as well. Feel free to leave something on my talkpage Thanks! Haidill — Preceding unsigned comment added by Haidill (talkcontribs) 00:17, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi again Liz - I'm also getting confused about where to respond to people who post on my talk page - do I respond on my page or on theirs? I set up a watchlist on everyone's page so that I would know when changes happen, so I guess I can catch changes if I care to...but not sure if others are doing that as well. Sigh. Have to learn the protocol, I guess! Oishiisou (talk) 22:59, 8 July 2011 (UTC) HI JILL !!! Will do on the usertalk page - how's life away?Reply

Article review and assessment

edit

It has come to the attention of several Ambassadors and mentors that some students are attempting to participate in reviewing and assessing articles, primarily for Good Article status or in attempts to review the work of their classmates. Others are offering second opinions to the review being performed by other editors. Unrequested second opinions oftentimes lead to disputes. While the enthusiasm and initiative is admirable, it is actually inappropriate for new or inexperienced editors to review or assess articles in any capacity. The Good Article process, review, and assessment requires thorough understanding of the project's policies and guidelines, specifically pertaining to the Manual of Style, verifiability, neutral point of view, and the ability to accurately identify copyright violations, reliable sources, and topical, as well as general notability guidelines. With all sincerity, please do not attempt to review or assess any articles. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to contact me either on my talk page or through email. Best regards, Cind.amuse (Cindy) 18:35, 31 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
