Welcome!

edit

Hello, Janiself, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

The Host

edit

Hi! I was notified about your addition to the article on The Host. The content was removed because it was original research - keep in mind that we can only summarize what has been explicitly stated in reliable sources. We cannot take a source and draw our own conclusions or theories.

At the same time, be careful of sourcing - not everything is usable as a source. In this situation the source you used was a student-written blog - there's no information about what type of editorial oversight is applied to the pages, if any, or what type of verification it goes through.
