January 2022 edit

Hello, I'm JPxG. I noticed that in this edit to Pete Shotton, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. jp×g 11:25, 1 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

gentle Giant edit

good evening

you may have reverted an addition to the Gentle Giant entry, regarding compositional style, without an explanation. before i revert it, i am curious as to why?

thanks in advance for all the great things you do, SkidMountTubularFrame (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 11:44, 16 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
I've never heard the term "klangfarbenmelodie" used in describing the music of Gentle Giant, so I believe this addition requires a source. Unless it's included in the previous reference (Hasnes), which I can't check as the link is dead. Jah77 (talk) 11:58, 16 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

good point. i linked to the often used term in the relevant wiki page regarding split instrumentation to accentuate tonality, but it could need an outside reference. thank you. SkidMountTubularFrame (talk) 18:12, 16 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
