Jade Thompson PROD edit

I noticed that you have asked that the page Jade Thompson be deleted as it no longer accords with your current professional ambitions. I note that you have also left a message with the original author of the article. However once an article is in main-space, it no longer "belongs" to anyone - it is part of the community effort to build a better encyclopaedia. You may be lucky and if nobody objects, this article may be deleted in about a weeks time. However there is a big "If". I imagine your request will be taken seriously if you are who you claim to be. We have many instances where people purport to be somebody but are not - you could, for example, have an animosity towards Jade Thompson and want to see her page removed. Is there any way that we can establish unequivocally that you are who you claim to be ?  Velella  Velella Talk   13:46, 16 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Velella i understand that I have no idea how to prove its me? any ideas? I don't have a clue how to use wiki so bare with me, I only made an account as my new employer asked me to take this wikipedia page down. i did ask my friend Rianne to have a go at getting it deleted yesterday on my behalf but she was denied. As you can see by the bio it says I stopped modelling in 2016, its actually 2015 when i embarked on my university degree.
I can certainly try to find out how you can prove that this is you. It may take a few days. In the meantime, if you want to change any non-contentious information like dates, please go ahead and do it. It will only be if you start changing referenced information or adding stuff which might be considered promotional, or potential contentious that problems might arise. Velella I'm good i just want it gone to be honest. Thanks
I asked a friendly admin about the issue and the reply I received was "You need to tell him to contact Wikipedia's Volunteer Response Team by visiting Wikipedia:Contact us - Subjects. This will put them in touch with the appropriate team, who have the tools and training to handle this situation, verify his identity, and respond to his requests. ". Not sure about the gender choice in the advice but hope that this helps. I should add that if the community take the view that your past made you notable (as defined by Wikipedia), there may be some considerable resistance to deletion, but I will that issue to others to determine. However, I have just looked through all the references and not one appears to support a claim for notability. This gives you a much better case for deletion and I would suggest in the first instance changing the wording of the PROD that you put on the article to read "Model with no evidence of notability. Only a single viable ref which is a single photo. Fails WP:GNG". That is likely to be much better received by whoever ends up dealing with the deletion process. A statement of "delete it because its me", never works very well. Regards  Velella  Velella Talk   19:12, 16 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
