Edit warring

edit

That is no excuse to introduce original research. Instead of edit warring, you can either remove the sentence entirely or rephrase it in such a way that does not introduce original research. Whenever your bold edit is reverted, you're encouraged to discuss the issue on the article's talk page instead of reverting back to your version and discussing your edit solely through edit summaries. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 2 weeks for abusing multiple accounts. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  --Blablubbs (talk) 18:02, 21 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Absolutely unfathomable block. Creating a secondary account for public computers is, like, the original use of secondary accounts. Targeting a low-level "gnome" for making a statement against the redesign is just inexcusable. JGD 121 (talk) 12:56, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Your use of multiple accounts appears to violate WP:SOCK. For example, "Undisclosed alternative accounts generally may not be used in discussions internal to the project" (WP:SOCK). This clearly wasn't a case of creating a secondary account for public computers and I do not see where you declared the connection between the two accounts. If I'm misunderstanding, if for example you did disclose your use of multiple accounts or if you think WP:BADSOCK does not apply, you are welcome to make a new unblock request and another admin will review it. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I had not yet gotten around to disclosing, as Saturdays are generally non-computer days. I feel you're taking a very, *very* literal reading of WP:SOCK - the reason *why* a sock should be prevented from project discussions is the classic case of the main account saying something and the sock popping up to support the main account's statement. A sock participating in a discussion, absent the main account's participation, causes no harm (and in fact, excluding edit summaries, this account - my primary - has never participated in any discussion, so even by the most letter-focused, spirit-ignoring reading of WP:SOCK I can conjure up, my sock has committed no wrong and more importantly no harm to the project whatsoever). JGD 121 (talk) 13:06, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

This is silly. I think you realized your comment was uncivil, so you created a sock puppet to post it. That has nothing to do with a clearly labeled alternate account used to make constructive edits from a public computer. The restriction on editing project space is not limited to creating an illusion support. That's a completely separate thing. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 18:34, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
