Welcome!

Hello, Itsashaunparty, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome!

I do need to point out that I've reverted your edits to Jason Gann as they violated a very large number of Wikipedia policies and guidelines, including two very core policies, those of verificatio and nor original research. Information added to Wikipedia must be verified by reliable-source citations, and no personal-knowledge claims are allowed.

In addition, we DO NOT change the dates of tags; the article has been tagged since July 2011 and October 2011, and it is deceptive to change their date to March 2012.

Some of the guidelines we adhere to involve the tone of articles, in which this edit — "Season two of Wilfred garnered the attention of many celebrities including Robin Williams who is signed on as a guest. Production begins in March 2012." — contains puffed-up prose about capturing celebrities' attention, and what Wikipedia calls uncited "crystal-ball" claims about future events.

There is much, much more I could say, and please believe that this message is meant to be supportive. Wikipedia welcomes all responsible editors who wish to help out, and everyone needs to follow policies and guidelines that have been worked out over the course of years. One last point: We don't edit-war over reversions, but discuss issues point by point on the article's talk page. I'd be happy to provide mentorship you there, and help you in any way I can. With regards, --Tenebrae (talk) 23:44, 6 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I see you've reverted my edits without discussion. Your edits violate several Wikipedia policies and guidelines, especially those regarding biographies of living persons and, I suspect, conflict of interest. If you revert again, I will ask an admin to intervene. He may then block you from editing. --Tenebrae (talk) 23:48, 6 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

My very sincere compliments on a job well-done! In all my years here, I don't know that I've ever seen such a quick transformation from a newcomer to a such a professional-quality contributor. I'm kind of bowled over and very impressed. I urge you to contribute to many more articles — quite seriously, we could use an editor capable of this caliber of work. With great regards, --Tenebrae (talk) 02:58, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Jason Gann

edit

Hi, Itsashaunparty. I was one of the first editors to work with you and to compliment you on you rapid transformation into a high-quality editor back in 2012. That's why I hope you believe I'm speaking with you in genuine good faith now. Many of your edits to jason Gann — and I understand you're a fan and that's OK; we all right about subjects we personally like — have been non-neutral. I can see you believe he got a raw deal with the bus driver. But the fact is that he pleaded guilty, so legally, there's no "allegedly" anymore. He's saying he did it. He can't say under oath he did it and then go around saying he was lying and didn't do it, thus committing perjury.

Since there are now two editors who have issues with your edits, could we work together again, as we successfully did before? Could we make edits one at a time instead of wholesale changes? In the spirit of collegiality, --Tenebrae (talk) 20:04, 5 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Oh wow! My bad! Yes, it is not allegedly! Good call! I'm unsure as to what exactly he plead to and what that means (what with plea bargain deals/Aussie stuff) though I will look into it. For the meantime, I am 100% with you that the word "allegedly" does not belong there! Though, in reading this story, not just for Jason, for whom I am a fan, but also for (the population of the US's overcrowded prisons) I do think it's important to point out the actual circumstances.

For real, thank you for the sincere criticism. There's nothing worse than having things changed around for reasons you don't understand.

Itsashaunparty (talk) 20:19, 5 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Cool. I'm on deadline now, but I'll get to you in a couple of hours to work on this, if that's OK. --Tenebrae (talk) 21:33, 5 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, that's great. I appreciate it. I'll check in the EST morning. Out of all the reincarnations of Mr. Gann's Wikipedia, besides my mistake on the "allegedly" (and any minor syntax), my last edit was efinitely the most succinct and accurate.

Should I change it in the morning if you haven't gotten to it?

January 2018

edit

This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on others again, as you did at WP:COIN, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Calling someone an antisemitic, without a direct reference to where they said it, is a blatant personal attack and will not be tolerated. If you cannot provide a link to the exact statement that unambiguously was antisemitic, do not say it. Do not imply it. Playing the race card (or in this case the religious background card) is widely considered a ploy used by those who have no other argument. There is no point where it will ever help your case, either here or in real life. John from Idegon (talk) 20:55, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Did you happen to see where he called me a liar?

If not antisemitic, is he just picking on defenseless doctors at random?

This is cyber bullying.

No-one called you a liar. And if you use the term anti-semantic toward a particular editor again, I will personally take measures to bring your conduct up for review regarding a suspension or revocation of your editing privileges. And sign your posts. So am I too now a bully? John from Idegon (talk) 22:21, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
And I cannot help but notice you've made no effort to defend yourself against the charges that were levied, but instead simply chose to attack those politely indicating your edits are similar to an editor who is editing for pay. I would suggest, if you can do so honestly, to deny those charges. Works much better than name calling. John from Idegon (talk) 22:24, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • At a certain point, editors that are meatpuppets, doubling down and casting aspersions of antisemitism, become too disruptive and are time sinks. We have confirmed sockpuppets working on this article but you choose to only see what you want to see. We're done. You're a COI meatpuppet and blocked as such.
     — Berean Hunter (talk) 17:30, 20 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Excuse me? It appears you do not appreciate the plight of the modern Jewish woman. No one ever responded to the Nazi claims. John from Idegon writes, "And I cannot help but notice you've made no effort to defend yourself against the charges that were levied..." Well, I've levied charges against a user who has not responded or defended himself. Why? Why has he not responded or defended himself? Might it be because if you look back at his edits you will find a clear antisemitic bias. Please, I urge you to review the articles. Look out for negative sentences. My team and I have reviewed Jytdog and his edits and have levied a charge. Why should he not respond to the charge?

Maybe it's because I'm a woman. A gay Jewish woman. Wikipedia is a place for men, apparently. And you're ganging up on me because I am a Jewish woman. Is that why you're calling me a "meatpuppet." Gross. That's so gross. You people are horrendous. Using the word "meatpuppet" as a negative term.

Are there no limits? I expect a lot of apologies and a healthy donation to a few Jewish charities. itsashaunparty
You seem to have competency issues here. It looks like the first time that you have revealed that you are a woman or that you are gay is in your last post and yet it comes complete with the accusation that this is why things aren't going your way and you are being discriminated against. If we didn't know that then how would it have applied? We really don't care about all that. Martyrdom complex much? The way in which you arrived at the conclusion that editors here are on an antisemitic bent shows that you are either trying a lame straw man tactic or do not have the ability to process logic and determine a reasonable, intelligent deduction. We're not going to go in circles explaining to someone that falls into either category because it is a waste of time.
You and "your team" are now responsible for studying Jytdog's contribs and actually coming up with diffs that would be the supporting proof to your as-yet unsubstantiated accusations of antisemitism. It will be required as an accompaniment to any unblock request that you or "your team" make. Alternately, if you don't have that evidence in hand then you will need to make a retraction.
