Image copyright problem with Image:Valleyman.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Valleyman.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you.

Since this is image is your work, tagging it with {{GFDL-self}} should do the trick.

Image copyright problem with Image:Langjh.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Langjh.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Your recent edit to Che Guevara edit

I reverted your edit to Che Guevara because I'm not sure it meets one of our policies. WP:V requires that information be verifiable. That you know Special Forces were involved in the military action isn't really verifiable via yourself (unless you want to put your name and phone number down as a source!). You might discuss it on the talk page for the article first to see if the community would support making that change or try to find better sources. Sorry I reverted you so quickly.--Kchase02 T 20:53, 18 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Another wikipedian, Polaris999, came to your defense with sources and will integrate those references and your change into the article. Thank you for your contribution and sorry again that I reverted you. Usually I and others are not such sticklers about verifiability, but I have been careful about Che because it is today's featured article and has been attracting a lot of attention. Anyway, cheers and happy editing!--Kchase02 T 03:58, 19 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
