Hello, I'm Gyrofrog. I noticed that you recently removed content from Arooj Aftab without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Hi Gyrofrog, I am Arooj's manager and this personal information that keeps being added is incorrect information that should not be on the Wikipedia page. The articles that are being sited for that information are in the process of removing those quotes. Isiomac (talk) 02:13, 7 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for that explanation. I would ask that you please have a look at WP:COI, based on what you've just said and that you've only edited that particular article. (Also please see WP:3RR -- and it would be better to put some kind of explanation, like the one you gave here, at Talk:Arooj Aftab .) Thanks again, -- Gyrofrog (talk) 02:58, 7 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
I suppose in an effort to not be blocked due to COI rules there is nothing I can do here anymore except wait for that article to be edited. I just want to point to the fact that the that article it says "being queer was a thing", it never says "I am queer" or that "I am openly queer". I believe Wikipedia should be more sensitive about potentially outting public personalities without their consent. In so many parts of the world, this sort of fact can put someone in grave danger and I want to point out that Arooj is from Pakistan. The statement that "She is openly queer" is not something that could be 100% drawn from that quote of the article. Isiomac (talk) 08:25, 8 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
