Welcome! edit

Hello, Isaiah.M.J, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Exorcism does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Help me! edit

Please help me with... Help with an edit

I made an edit on an article regarding Exorcism,in that article it talked about supposive "exorcisms" that Members of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints do,i'am a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, and i thought id make an edit noting that we don't really believe in demonic possession but understand that there are other Religions, including other christans who do,and as a result may see the anointing and giving a blessing to someone for the sick and afflicted,as a "Exorcism",i also gave some context of how people have Gone to Members for help in regards to performing a "Exorcism" or in general expelling "evil Spirits" from a friend or family Member since perhaps in their beliefs they may not believe in Exorcisms or evil Spirits,i tried to make the article as neutral as possible, not trying to make it seem like i'am yay or neigh of the situation, but it got reverted because it didn't comply with NPOV from someone who got blocked for a seperate reason,i want to add my edit back up,but i would like some help to make sure it complies with Wikipedia TOS and ensures that my edit can be helpful to others.

You should not simply add your edit back to Exorcism. While the editor that reverted it last time was evidently a sockpuppet, your addition amounted to personal testimony without providing a source. It was properly removed, even if the person who removed it has other problems.
Your saying that you are a member of the church is a sort of conflict-of-interest situation. If you were to mention that on your user page, it might help other editors place your contributions in their proper context.
Given the style of your original edit and the stream-of-consciousness style of your request here, I'll recommend that you use the Edit Request wizard to propose what you think needs to be added. Be sure to provide a published source that supports what you want to add. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 22:15, 24 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
