Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article WikiLeaks, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.   Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to WikiLeaks with this edit, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 19:47, 30 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to WikiLeaks. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. WikiPuppies! (bark) 20:34, 30 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits seem to have the appearance of edit warring after a review of the reverts you have made on WikiLeaks. Users are expected to collaborate and discuss with others and avoid editing disruptively.

Please be particularly aware, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.TMCk (talk) 21:08, 30 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

November 2011 edit

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. I specifically refer to your recent edits on Julian Assange.

File source problem with File:Julian Assange - CC image.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Julian Assange - CC image.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Quoted source was correct - it was CC, but not a CC suitable for WP - it was CC BY-NC 2.0  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:53, 4 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Citing sources edit

When citing sources for a statement, please make sure that they actually support the information in question. I checked both sources you cited here and they do not mention Assange at all (yes, I created an account on Mundia to check that database entry - it shows a pedigree until present times, but the name Assange does not appear. And it lists only one child for George Ah Sang and Mary Whyte - not 6 children, as you claim).
