I’m a fan. I’m not Invictus games. That should be obvious. I created an account to correct all the trolls who sabotage the page. I was in the audience enjoying the games in the Canada games. InvictusGames (talk) 13:25, 4 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for saying so, I'm happy you got a chance to go to such an event. A few of your edits (i.e "deliberately removed our founder as the founder", "Stop erasing him from our page") do appear to suggest otherwise, so please refrain from this kind of phrasing in the future. Have a wonderful day.--Bettydaisies (talk) 18:18, 4 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I wrote as our founder because I’m a member as in donate $10 a month and my uncles step son participated in the games. It’s a deeply personal organization and that’s why I talk about it the way I did. But I’m no more an insider than any other fan or donor to any organization. I wish people had more respect for this organization and stopped trolling the wiki page. The only reason I set up a wiki page was in order to correct the fabricated parts, and I picked the user name not thinking too much about it, except for that I was changing the Invictus wiki page InvictusGames (talk) 20:02, 4 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Oh, okay, that makes more sense. I believe (?) that it still merits a personal connection to the organization though, so please abide by WP:COI guidelines. thank you.--Bettydaisies (talk) 21:06, 4 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Editors are expected to treat each other with respect and civility. On this encyclopedia project, editors assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not appear to do at Talk:Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. Here is Wikipedia's welcome page, and it is hoped that you will assume the good faith of other editors and continue to help us improve Wikipedia! Casting aspersions and doing things like calling people "borderline birthers" is not acceptable. The editors on that talk page are working together in good faith to try to make the Duchess of Cambridge's article better. If you want something changed on the page, by all means please speak your mind, but do not assume the other editors there are working in bad faith. Thank you. The entire page is filled with unverified tabloid stories, even included Dothan Meghan started dating Harry. before breaking up with a chef who was never verified as her boyfriend in the 1st place. The source that wa slinked is a telegraph article that in the actual article says “it could have been weeks or 1 month after breaking up with boyfriend that she meet Harry”... and the story is clarified in many other pieces. Yet, the editors haven’t corrected it. It’s still there. There is no mention of where she grew up “LA” just isn’t enough when there is so much information about her out there. It seems the editors who’re able to edit have continued to add tabloid stories and accusation lifted straight from gossip tabloids while ignoring the basics. Also, why has her page become a diary of her weekly engagements? Why add a funeral she didn’t attend? Why add bullying accusations that haven’t been resolved, denied by her and the paper who printed it also said they have no idea of knowing if it’s true. Why is her page so different from the usual pages? I’m asking all this in good faith, maybe I misunderstand something. InvictusGames (talk) 20:41, 4 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Also I forgot to respond to the “birther” thing. Maybe the editor can explain why it’s any different with Meghan, Kate Middleton also had a Wikipedia page before she married Prince William and took on the Duchess of Cambridge title. What is so different about Meghan that documents should be required to verify her name and that we should keep her page name as it was before she married? I haven’t seen the editor suggest this for Kate Middleton. So maybe an explanation of that from the editor would help here. InvictusGames (talk) 21:03, 4 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I've corrected the Telegraph piece; please note that a tabloid newspaper is different from a reliable source. The Death and funeral of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh isn't mentioned or linked on the page, and the "Public life" section, as also displayed in Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, is meant to display the activities of their public life. As such, the bullying allegations are treated on her page as allegations, not fact, which have been widely reported. Assuming good faith in other editors, like Aoi graciously mentioned, is key for fruitful contributions - accusing editors of being hostile and passive-aggressive is also, as you have previously been warned, against policy. I'd also suggest you WP:COMMONNAME to refrain from the "birther" reasoning. Thank you for your understanding.--Bettydaisies (talk) 21:16, 4 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for correcting that. InvictusGames (talk) 02:04, 5 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for correcting the Telegraph piece. I don’t believe donating to an organization qualifies as personal connection. In that case we would all have personal connections to any charity we donate to, or if we know someone who once played a game with an organizations. Again I’ve never edited on Wikipedia before and only used this username because I only signed up to edit discrepancies on the Invictus games page. Which, I now realize doesn’t make any sense.
