Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

Request reason:

This is my real name, and I am the owner of the organization. I do not receive compensation for posting on Wikipedia. The posting of the organization on Wikipedia is not for the purpose of advertisement, but to create awareness of the current childcare crisis, the effect that COVID-19 had on women in the workforce who were forced to leave jobs in order to care for their children, and that there are alternatives for mothers to find flexible work while parenting on a widely read and unbiased platform that others can contribute to. As a company, Instamommies, does not run ads; we are a community-based organization and spread only by word of mouth between mothers, to protect the integrity of the connections made. Our goal is to support mothers who may be facing hardship at this time due to ongoing effects in the job market. Please email me if I can clarify further what our mission is: info@instamommies.org.

Decline reason:

Communication about Wikipedia matters is generally done on Wikipedia, for openness and transparency. "Creating awareness" is the definition of promotion. Wikipedia is not a place for organizations to tell the world about themselves, even if it does good work. A Wikipedia article about an organization must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the organization, showing how it meets Wikipedia's special definition of a notable organization. You won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about your organization or conflict of interest. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road. If you want to be a general contributor, please tell what topics you will edit about. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 21:28, 24 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia makes no distinction between for-profit businesses and non-profit organizations. Neither is entitled to have a Wikipedia article just because it exists. An organization must be notable by Wikipedia's definition to be considered worthy of inclusion. This requires the organization to have already received significant coverage from multiple reliable and independent sources.

We have no interest in what an organization wishes to say about itself. "Creating awareness" equals promotion; Wikipedia's policy against being used for promotional purposes is clear and non-negotiable, even for worthy causes. It is also an inherent conflict of interest to write about your own organization; articles are typically written by editors with no vested interest in the topic, who have a more objective view of the subject matter. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 21:27, 24 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Instamommies

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Instamommies, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. – dudhhr talk contribs (he/they) 21:39, 24 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
