Happy birthday

edit

Is today your birthday or when? I just would like to say happy birthday to you while celebrating Wikipedia's 2,000,000+ articles. NHRHS2010 Talk 00:48, 10 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, whatever

edit

Whatever you want to call me is fine. I just found out many people like using the real name, so I changed. ;) I've decided to work on doing a bit of Harry Potter work rather than baseball for about a month to get interested in another topic, but I'm still manning the 2007 Dodger season article, though it's getting behind. I haven't had much time to edit. If you could help catch up, that would be great. I'm thinking about starting the 2008 league, and I'll tell you more about that as we go. Thanks. :) BrianY 00:17, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

These days, I am not getting homework, so I get to edit Wikipedia a lot, depending on the time. When I get a lot of homework, I might not make a lot of edits. Have you heard of DerHexer? He made almost 20,000 edits in March on German Wikipedia and more than 10,000 edits in April on English Wikipedia. He is so fast that every time I revert vandalism, I see DerHexer. Each month, he still makes thousands of edits. And also, I just made my 8000th edit. NHRHS2010 Talk 12:59, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

User:DerHexer has more than 30,000 edits in English Wikipedia alone. DerHexer made more than 10,000 edits in one month (April 2007). In order to be reverting vandalism, you need to go to special:Recentchanges, then whatever you see that looks like vandalism, click on the 'diff' button and click on the undo button. Then after clicking the undo button, you will see what looks like the edit screen. Then you press the 'Save Page' button. Be aware that some users might beat you into reverting vandalism. This is how you leave a warning: {{subst:uw-v1}} is a level 1 warning, {{subst:uw-v2}} is a level 2 warning, {{subst:uw-v3}} is a please stop warning, {{subst:uw-v4}} is a final warning, and {{subst:uw-v4im}} is an only warning. If the user vandalizes after last warning, then report it on WP:AIV. Go to the User-reported section and click on 'edit' then put {{IPvandal|00.00.00.00}} for IP address or {{Vandal|Bad user}} for registered users (this is just an example). To be even faster in reverting vandalism, warning users, and reporting users, then you should have TWINKLE, which you can get by reading WP:TWINKLE. And you can even ask User:DerHexer, who is an admin who is so fast at reverting vandalism that I see him everywhere and he keeps beating me. NHRHS2010 Talk 02:07, 15 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Stats, 2008

edit

Yep, that's what I want to do with the stats. :) If the Dodgers get to the playoffs, I'll be monitoring the National League Division Series, very closely. Otherwise I'll just check in every few days. Thanks. BrianY 14:34, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Reporting user

edit

To report a user on WP:AIV, click on the 'edit' button on the 'User-reported' section. To report...

This is just an example, but hope this helps. NHRHS2010 Talk 00:07, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

When you post a message or warning on a user talk page, you should sign your posts, by putting ~~~~ after your post. NHRHS2010 Talk 00:13, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I had 2 RfAs (Wikipedia:Requests for adminship) in the past but I have withdrawn both of them because many users kept opposing me because they say I am lacking mainspace edits. Maybe I'll wait until perhaps Thanksgiving or Christmas to be an administrator. Users can have an unlimited amount of RfA, like User:ST47 finally became an administrator after 5 RfAs. Your recent edits

edit

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 00:29, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Edit conflict caused by some bot

edit

I just ran into edit conflict when trying to leave this message: Users opposed me on my RfA because they say that I am lacking mainspace edits other than reverting vandalism. But I have made lots of regular mainspace edits these days by adding or editing infoboxes on given name articles such as Brian and Brianna. NHRHS2010 Talk 00:33, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I do not really know how many mainspace edits I have other than vandalism reverts. NHRHS2010 Talk 00:37, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
You have a userbox saying that you are in WikiProject Baseball. You are supposed to put your username here to actually be a participant. NHRHS2010 Talk 01:25, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

City

edit

Yes, I don't live in a large city, I live in Bishop, California. I used to live in the LA area until a few months ago, and had season tickets to the Dodger games. I was getting tired of LA, so we moved. :) Long Beach is not far, it's about 45 minutes from Dodger Stadium, and maybe about 2 hours (?) to Angel Stadium. Dunno...see you soon...BrianY 16:02, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

About twice a week or so...It varies. I'll keep contributing next year, and I'm sure you'll fine times to do it too! Next year, I am in college which may slow do some things a bit....BrianY 14:24, 19 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

My edits

edit

My Preferences also show number of my edits as well, but that number includes deleted edits as well. The edit count tool does not show edit count. So far, including deleted edits, I have over 8700 edits. NHRHS2010 Talk 10:47, 27 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you could help me readd the stats for the 2007 season at the Dodgers page, fantasic, I'm also doing seperate, as you can see from my contribs. I'll do more when I get a chance. Hoping to see you soon. BrianY 03:12, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
