Vital articles edit
Have you checked out the discussions on the size and scope of the Vital article projects we're having at Wikipedia talk:Vital articles, Wikipedia talk:Vital articles/Expanded and Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Vital Articles? Since you once were one of the most prolific editors in that area, your thoughts would be appreciated pbp 14:13, 26 March 2013 (UTC)

- Igrek, I am very appreciative of your input in the vital articles discussion's, you have proposed many good new ideas. I would urge you to look also at the previous proposals for adds, removals and swaps. I know there are loads but we have so few users taking part, it would be great to get another user's opinions on the existing discussions. Vital Articles/Expanded edit
Greetings, Igrek. I am glad to see the interest that you are taking in the Vital Articles lists again. The project really needs the participation of educated, well-read and literate editors, with eclectic interests, such as yourself. By necessity, we must remove more VA/E list topics than we add for the time being, because the VA/E list currently exceeds its limit of 10,000 articles by over 300 topics. It would be helpful if you could scour the various sublists for lower-priority topics that are likely candidates for removal. Until we get the total under 10,000 again, the easiest way to add new higher-priority subjects to the list is to propose a swap with a specific lower-priority subject that is a likely candidate for removal. - Igrek, the VA/E list is currently 300+ articles over its limit of 10,000 articles. Our first goal is to identify and remove 300 lower-priority (less vital?) articles currently on the list. That involves going through all of the 12 component sublists and identifying those articles that are likely candidates to be removed, and proposing them for removal at the main VA/E talk page. I identified about 30 yesterday and posted them for discussion, but that's obviously just a start. I think we have something like 50 or so pending removals at the talk page; that's only about 20% of what needs to be removed. ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open! edit
Hello, Igrek. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
