Speedy deletion nomination of User:Igceseiraq

edit

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Igceseiraq, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Kb03 (talk) 13:00, 8 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username. It also appears that your account is intended to be used for the purpose of telling the world about an organization, person or cause that you consider worthwhile. Unfortunately, many good causes are not sufficiently notable for their own Wikipedia article, and all users are discouraged from editing in any area where they have an inherent conflict of interest. You may wish to consider one of these alternative outlets. Additionally, If you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you. NJA | talk 13:23, 8 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Dear Sir or Madame, please understand that IGCESE IRAQ is only the codename of the Social Networks Committee of the Media and Communications Authority of the Iraqi Group of Cultural, Educational and Scientific Exchange (IGCESE), it does not represent the group in any way or form, it only has the responsibility of supervision and administration of IGCESE-related matters on the web, and so it will only supervise anything related to IGCESE on Wikipedia and it will also apply for the removal of copyright infringements if any page on Wikipedia breaks the IGCESE copyright laws provided on [1], and so can you please mind revising your decision and unblock our account? Moreover, we hereby confirm and consent that we will not edit nor add any articles related to our group, but will only participate in the improvement and development of content provided on Wikipedia by ordering our development teams to work on editing and adding cultural, educational and scientific articles which are not IGCESE-related through this account, because our group seeks to improve those fields worldwide by providing the highest amount of related knowledge, if this consent is not enough, we are also ready to sign a special contract which would oblige our teams to not even try to edit or add any articles related to IGCESE, we do understand that you try to provide the best environment for your users, but you must also understand that we shall never use such websites as Wikipedia which are strictly made to share knowledge to sponsor or advertise any kind of IGCESE-related information or products in pages written by our own hands, because it will definitely seem to be unneutral, although we try our best to show our pros and cons as much as we can. Thank you! Igceseiraq (talk) 00:22, 9 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

This is only a username block, so you need to propose a new username as instructed that complies with the username policy and indicates that a specific individual is exclusively using this account(your real name is not required). I am confused because you are claiming that you don't represent this group but you use its name as your username and state that you are here to "supervise" matters related to the group. That sounds like representation to me. If you just want to ensure that your group's copyright is not violated, you do not need to have an account to do that, as you may simply send an email as described on this linked page. There are no 'special contracts' to sign; you simply stating that you will not make conflict of interest edits(please review) is sufficient; you may wish to learn about making edit requests(which you are permitted to do). Please propose a new username as the block notice instructs, I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 07:49, 9 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

Dear Sir or Madame, Unfortunately, your administration team decided to block our account for reasons related to COI, however, we applied for an unblocking request, and you also declined it due to a misunderstanding, and what can we do? So, we decided to close this account by changing its username to another username which is not related to the group and never use this account again, because we wanted to delete our account, but according to our research, you do not provide the ability to delete accounts, so please accept this username change, so that we may not leave any traces of the group on Wikipedia. We are also very sure that we have not broken any COI guidelines with our consent nor have we done anything that may have broken the Wikipedia guidelines. We will continue to use Wikipedia and we will always be participants in improving and developing Wikipedia as a way of contributing to the world. Thank you! Igceseiraq (talk) 08:29, 9 May 2019 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You keep saying "we". Shared accounts are not permitted. Additionally, you clearly did violate WP:COI by writing about IGCESE IRAQ. If you wish to write about something else, something unrelated to IGCESE IRAQ, and if this account is only used by a single person, please follow the instructions and we'll be happy to unblock you. Yamla (talk) 10:26, 9 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Maybe it is a language barrier, but you seem to be stating that you no longer wish to edit Wikipedia. If that is true, there is no need to take any action on this. Please clarify. 331dot (talk) 08:38, 9 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Dear Sir or Madame, "I" understand that "you" -as in the Wikipedia administration team- may have a problem with shared accounts, but please understand that using "we" was not meant to be collective, but rather as a sign of respect, where "I" treat "you" and "me" as a plural, this may be strange, but it is often used in formal speech, moreover, "I" am a single individual, "I" have no intention of being collective, "I" am here to only supervise -as in watch, because that was also misunderstood in the first unblock request which "you" declined- IGCESE-related content, but not to add or edit anything related to IGCESE, "I" have no intention of sponsoring or advertising any service or product, "I" also have no clearance to represent IGCESE in any way or form, because of IGCESE guidelines (the group has a representative who is the head of the administrative council, he has the full authoriy of represntation and public relations, and no one else has that clearnace), so it does not mean that "I" represent IGCESE if this account had the "IGCESE IRAQ" username, knowing that "IGCESE IRAQ" is not the official name of the group, the official name is the "Iraqi Group of Cultural, Educational and Scientific Exchange (IGCESE)", as "I" have already explained in "my" request to unblock this account. "I" also made a confirmation and consent to not add or edit anything related to IGCESE, but "you" declined "my" request, and so "I" applied for a username change request by explaining that "I" have not broken the COI guidelines and I still insist that "I" have not done that, "I" did not even complete the user page and you deleted it a few hours later, it was a draft, "I" only wrote an incomplete disclaimer that was supposed to be changed, no chance was given, and this is the third request after "your" block of this account. "I" also asked that you change the username so that "I" may close the account and never use it again, "I" want no trace of the group on Wikipedia -especially blocked traces-! And if "you" have any way of deleting this account, then "I" give "you" full authority to do so. "I" had no intention of sponsoring or advertising anything IGCESE-related, "I" just wanted to improve Wikipedia by contributing content and information available to "me" through IGCESE. Thank you! P.S. "I" think that detecting pronouns is not a proper way of determining that a user is a person or a team. Igceseiraq (talk) 14:36, 9 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

You don't have to be a designated representative or hold a certain position in order to have a conflict of interest. Having the name of an organization (even in abbreviated form) as your username suggests that you are its representative. If you are not, fair enough, but you still have a conflict of interest and still need to propose a new username if you want to edit. However, you state that you no longer wish to edit- if that is true, a rename is not necessary, as your account will not be renamed if you have no intention of using it. As such, I am declining this request; if you change your mind and wish to edit, you are welcome to make a new request with a new username that indicates this account is used by an individual(real names are not required) 331dot (talk) 18:15, 9 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
