Hello, Icedcoffee2001, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Article choices

edit

Hi! I wanted to give you some feedback about your potential article choices:

  • Transgender disenfranchisement in the United States: I think that this is a great choice of an article, as it clearly has room to expand. As such, it'll be far easier to edit than a longer and more comprehensive article.
  • Women in Government: This article is lengthier, so it's going to be a little harder to find content to add. That said, the article does have issues with tone, reading like an essay, and in the case of the US government section, not containing all viewpoints.
  • Transgender People in Sports: This article is also lengthier so it may be harder to add material depending on what you want to add. There is a note saying that it needs more of a worldwide view, so that would be a good avenue to explore as far as article content goes. There has been some discussion on the talk page about the article, so it will be very important to read those discussions just to make sure that you're not adding something that may have already been discussed. It looks like one part of it was about terminology, so this will be a good thing to keep in mind in general if you are editing on topics concerning transgender persons.

I hope this input helps! They're all good choices as a whole, so the choice will likely more revolve around which you're the most excited to edit and fits into the scope of what you want to add. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 20:55, 9 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
