Editing redirects

edit

Hi Iansal94, Welcome to Wikipedia and thanks for your contributions. If I might make a suggestion, please be careful when you move a page and then modify the redirect that's left behind? Sometimes that can have unintended, and unexpected, results. I'm thinking about Never Say Never (song) which automatically became a redirect when you moved the article that was there to Never Say Never (Romeo Void song)- nothing wrong with that, but all the pages that used to link to the Romeo Void song now link via that redirect ... and then pointed to the dab page when you changed the redirect! I swept them up while diambiguating all the inbound links to Never Say Never; the popups gadget is handy for that. Anyway, no big deal, and I remember doing it too. Cheers, --AndrewHowse (talk) 19:13, 23 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

You seem to have done it again, this time at Never Say Never (album). Would you mind fixing the inbound links please, since they all now end up at a disambiguation page? Thanks. --AndrewHowse (talk) 01:28, 24 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
I just cleaned those up, but in future please do heed the wise advice from AndrewHowse: When you move an article to an unambiguous title and redirect the old title to the disambiguation page, the articles that link to that ambiguous title should be corrected to point to the intended article. ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Emergency room (song) listed at Redirects for discussion

edit

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Emergency room (song). Since you had some involvement with the Emergency room (song) redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. BDD (talk) 14:43, 7 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
