I was informed via a message that an article contribution I did not make had been reverted.
A vandalism occurred that you reverted but was attributed to me (because of my IP). My ISP regularly reassigns IP addresses and the vandalism incident occurred over six months ago. Will my user experience be negatively impacted or will I (or any subsequent possessor of this IP) be penalized in some way?
- In your case, I would strongly suggest you register an account if you want to edit articles in Wikipedia. If you just read, you may not have to, but if you edit regularly, you may find yourself being banned for other peoples' vandalisms--not over this vandalism, as it's too old, but any vandalism that may happen in the future.
- However, I can assure you that IP addresses are incredibly rarely banned indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because of this issue. So, in other words, if this IP address does get banned, it isn't going to be forever. --I dream of horses (T) @ 20:31, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
KPKX Reverted Edits
Hello I dream of horses,
It seems that my current edits to the KPKX Wiki has been reverted by you. Can you please inform me as to why my edits have been reverted?
Thank you very much, and have a great day!
Bennichs
- I did so because:
- 1. XLinkBot tends to be fairly accurate in reverting linkspams.
- 2. Websites like facebook and foursquare aren't really good links to put in Wikipedia, anyway. I dream of horses (T) @ 20:59, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- Ok thank you, I understand.
- I am new to editing pages, will my edit of the image be alright?
- Thank you for the response.
- Bennichs
- No need to ask my permission--just don't add Facebook-like links to Wikipedia again, all right? :-) I dream of horses (T) @ 23:13, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
Carrow Abbey
i did not create this article, therefore i can remove the wrongful speedy, by policy, no? edit warring is against policy, is it not? it has references proving notability, should you wish to try AfD. 98.163.75.189 (talk) 01:30, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
- My impression is that only adminstators can make a decision on whether or not an article can be speedily deleted. Your deleting the tag can interfere, to some degree, with this. The speedy tag puts the page in a hidden category, which you may not be able to see. I dream of horses (T) @ 01:32, 5 June 2011 (UTC) (edited at 01:33, 5 June 2011 (UTC) and 01:34, 5 June 2011 (UTC))
- Your impression is incorrect. Any user can remove a speedy deletion tag that they disagree with, except for the article's creator. --Bongwarrior (talk) 01:35, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
- In that case, I publicly apologize to 98.163. I dream of horses (T) @ 01:36, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
- fine. you're not the worst one in the use of speedy, and ignoring of the "essay" wp:before. there are hundreds of these priory stubs. let's improve them and not speedy them. o.k.? 98.163.75.189 (talk) 01:42, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

FYI
While you were correct that the tagging of Virtual Computer for deletion as a duplicate article was an incorrect tagging, it was in fact a cut/paste move and so did still need the history merged to retain appropriate attribution. Cheers. VernoWhitney (talk) 14:02, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

Why was my change reverted?
Hi There,
Just wondering why my change was reverted? I'm not angry or upset, just confused,
Thanks,
Roofy22 (talk) 18:50, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- Because:
- (1. Wikipedia isn't an directory, nor is it a a place to link to businesses, and the link you added seemed to violate both.
- (2. You put it at the end of the article, which is something which people sometimes do when they clumsily do when intentionally trying to violate one of Wikipedias' guidelines, and also something they do when they accidentally do so. I dream of horses (T) @ 18:56, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- Reply:
- There are so many rules and guidelines here. I thought it was a good addition to the article.
My mistake. Thanks for the quick clarification, though.
- Roofy22 (talk) 19:24, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- If you ever realize that it was me who made the mistake, feel free to revert. I dream of horses (T) @ 19:46, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

This page is a popular target for fake episodes, so when you see that someone removed an episode, make sure that the episode is real, before readding it. 99.14.235.214 was just removing a fake episode that used a fake source. Granted, he should of used an edit summary, but still just be careful. JDDJS (talk) 22:40, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, whoops. I didn't know that article was a target for fake episodes. Sorry. :-( I dream of horses (T) @ 04:22, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
Jürgen Rauch
Why is speedy deletion Jürgen Rauch article? --1s9s9s4s0823 (talk) 22:45, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- Because it doesn't tell us why Jurgen Rauch is important. I dream of horses (T) @ 22:53, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry to butt in here (feel free to tell me to sling my hook), but I find it interesting that someone who says that he cannot understand English is editing the English Wikipedia. I am saying that he cannot, by all means, but I just find that a little... strange --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 23:01, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

RE:June 2010
I am trying to add information about the Vasselin family on the Vasselin page on here.
Is that a problem? since you reverted it...
Thanks. James Vasselin — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cobrajim (talk • contribs) 00:14, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, the only problems I see is notability, and conflict of interest, but neither of them are worthy of an immediate revert. My apologies. I assumed your edits were vandalism, since I was going too fast. I dream of horses (T) @ 01:12, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Thanks!
Been awhile since I've been on Huggle, but I still check the vandalism level via a template on my userpage. I greatly appreciate your amusing updates. Keep fighting the good fight! Take care!--GnoworTC 17:08, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Please do not make false accusations
I added factual information to Warehouse 13 along with a link to a reliable source. I do not appreciate being falsely accused of vandalism. Don't do it again. If you have some question about the information, try asking me about it. Matty Dean (talk) 18:04, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Greek austerity measures
I see you're interested in things about the IMF. Do you if there's an article that exists for the measures themselves? Something like '2009-2011 Greek reforms' or similar? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ItCanHappen (talk • contribs) 23:49, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
- I'm really not all that interested in the IMF. In fact, I have no idea what you're talking about, but I'm guessing that Christine Lagarde has something to do with it. All I did to the article was move and shrink an image, and I also took out a question about Ms.Lagarde on talk page, along with replacing {{Talkheader}} with {{Q&A}}. None of them actually require knowledge about the IMF.
- About where an article could be...well, if searching for it doesn't work, you can always write an article yourself. However, if you are so new that you don't know that you are supposed to sign your talk page posts, then I'd reccommend writing said article in the article incubator. I dream of horses (T) @ 23:57, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
