editThe article does not pass WP:Athlete, because he has not played professionally and has not even signed a contract yet. The only reason why the article was created is because he was drafted by the New York Yankees. Check out Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Manny Machado, a similar article that was deleted for these reasons.--Yankees10 15:13, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
