Too many pictures embedded in articles, much being irrelevant edit

i think that this user is using his pictures more for publicity than for contribution, for example in the article about the Bald-faced hornet, which features only 1 picture of a Hornet, but 10 Pictures of the user and his Hornet nests, Using an inappropriate Caps for the descriptions.

Another thing happening in the Wasp article, the first picture being described as "WASP NEST MUSEUM", Museum being irrelevant to the article.

I think that it is inappropriate , asthe user seems to be attempting to get his name some attention, and thus damaging the Articles' quality. just check the Bald-faced hornet article.

Thanks.

Re: Too many pictures embedded in articles, much being irrelevant edit

Hello.

Thanks for bringing this problem to my attention. It is NOT my intention to contribute to Wikipedia for my own popularity. My problem is that I tend to be OVER-ENTHUSIASTIC regarding the fascinating subject of social wasps & their nests and I go overboard with it. I guess you can say that I am a wasp fanatic! I sincerely apologize for any problems which I may have caused. In fact, I removed any photos which may be considered "self serving" by some people. Hopefully, I have remedied the problem. Again, please accept my humble apology.

Sincerely, Terry Prouty

Thanks alot. edit

I am very thankful that you have noticed and did something about my remarks. I guess i was pretty harsh about it, you really are a Wasp Fanatic! The changes you have made are very satisfactory and suitable.

Thanks again, Tim.

Asian giant hornet edit

I love the image you added to the article: it really help to put the size of these insects into context. I moved the image down a bit and added some descriptive text. Thanks again! – ClockworkSoul 15:28, 1 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hey! edit

Could you tell me more about how you collect these nests? Are there still hornets inside? If so, are they all dead? How exactly do you get the nest, but not all the evil, painful hornets inside? Do you drive them out somehow? SpACatta (talk) 19:01, 5 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
