August 2011 edit

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Comparison of notetaking software. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. And by the way, Hoodoo22, I understand that you are new around here and may not know it but please pay attention: Never revert someone's edit without an edit summary unless that edit is vandalism. Such reverts are often counted towards edit-warring. Fleet Command (talk) 14:32, 12 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Fleet Command (talk) 23:11, 12 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Comparison of notetaking software. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

In particular, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue edit warring, you may be blocked from editing. Fleet Command (talk) 23:12, 12 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Comparison of notetaking software, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines.
