Heads-up about prior deletions

Hi. I noticed your to-do list on your user page, so I thought I should give you some helpful advice about notability and the past history of subjects and articles. For CCleaner for example, there is an archived deletion debate at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ccleaner in which some of the respondents described as non-notable, with which I would have to agree. And although that particular article was deleted for a different reason, if notability had been the only or primary issue, the result would probably have been the same. It's a good program (I use it myself) but even two years after that debate, it may not be notable enough to warrant its own article. I know there are a lot of similar articles around, but some of them suffer from the same deficiency. I mention this not to discourage you in any way, but just in case you create a possibly non-notable article that gets nominated for deletion. The prior history has no prejudicial effect on any future article of the same name and/or subject. Regards, Adrian M. H. 20:31, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
