Paper Scissors is an New Zealand pop punk[2] band from Motueka, an isolated hill folk town near the city of Nelson. Formed in 2013, the band consists of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Julian (The Creative Mastermind) Mittmann, drummer Harry (The Lyrical Genius) Alexander, lead guitarist Alex (Alex) Perry and bassist Max (Nobody Cares) McAlpine. The band labels themselves as pop punk with jammy dance beats and in numerous interviews claim they are the greatest and best band ever in the history of everyness.

The band consistently tours all year long, headlining numerous tours, and has appeared at music festivals including Warped Tour, Reading and Leeds and Soundwave. Paper Scissors have also had requests to play at the White-house for Barack Obama and at Buckingham Palace for Queen Elizabeth II.

Currently a high school band, the band plans to release their debut Album Time For Awesomenessness in 2014 through international label Warner Bros., with a chance of a few singles being pre-released such as Change!, We Are Better Than You and Sam Has No Friends.

The first single This Is for You written in 2013 received massive media attention and made it into New Zealand’s top 10 on the edge and holds a place in the best songs of 2013. The members also wish to make it known that this song is dedicated to their best and closest friend, Chodalicious, whom they love dearly with all their hearts as long as he stays on track to losing his man-boobs (moobs). Their second single Harry’s a Faggot received even more media and public attention with Paper Scissors fans raving from the creative genuisness of the composition and deep meaningful lyrics. Harry’s a Faggot broke international records by reaching No. 2 on the US Billboard 200 within 24 hours after release and completely overwhelming commercial expectations with 630,000 sales in its first week.
