Proposed deletion of Happy Cake

edit

The article Happy Cake has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Delicacy with no evidence of notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 22:14, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Happy Cake

edit

There is nothing to stop you posting a new version. Bear in mind the following

Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:01, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

You wrote, The cake is famous because people like President Reagan ordered it. Please keep in mind that just because a US President ordered something once does not make that thing remotely famous per our guidelines. The cake has to be notable independently of that.
Furthermore, you used the pronoun we, which implies that your account is used by more than one person. Each editor should have a separate account with a username that does not imply editing on behalf of a company, not even a company you own. See our policy on usernames and, more importantly, our policy on neutrality, which is one of the five pillars Wikipedia is built on.
Keeping that in mind, I see from your references that it's possible to write a neutral, non-promotional article about the Happy Cake. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 16:25, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
