VBulletin - edit request edit

The protection tags specifies Please discuss changes on the talk page or request unprotection. Protection is not an endorsement of the current version. my emphasis. WP:RFPP policy also states Provide a good reason for a substantial edit to a protected page. These are only done in exceptional circumstances, or when there is very clear consensus for an edit and continued protection. Please link to the talk page where consensus was reached.. With this article I dont see a consensus on the talk page. Additionally there is an RFM currently occuring so its best not to make any major alterations that would be inflamatory to those with an opposite POV. Gnangarra 10:52, 7 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop removing official site links. edit

Even if they are in a foreign language, they are still the official site, many of us can read them, and even those of us who can't can often cull a certain amount of data from them such as dates and times. --tjstrf talk 20:30, 8 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

And yes, I read the note. Language is an absolute non-issue here, official sites are official sites. Also, Wikipedia accepts non-English sources. --tjstrf talk 20:32, 8 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
...last time I checked, this is the English Wikipedia. What good will a non-English link do on the English Wikipedia? P3net 16:42, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

EL in Sig edit

Hi Havok, I don't know if anyone has bugged you about this befor, but there is a strong recomendation in the sig guidelines agenst external links in signatures... it sais "Do not include links to external websites in your signature." It's a guideline so noone is going to cruisify you over it.:) But it does make the sourcecode for your signature a little long. But who am I to complain? Anyway, have a nice day, ---J.S (T/C/WRE) 00:58, 9 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

You know, for some reason I thought that was a link to the toolserver. Nevermind. I'm blind apparently. ---J.S (T/C/WRE) 16:00, 9 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Apple iPhone -> iPhone edit

I have fully protected Apple iPhone to be a redirect to iPhone, and left a message at WP:AN for others to check this out. Later we will have to make a history merge between both articles, as both were created at the same time. I have unprotected the iPhone article to restore the content, so just revert whenever someone turns it into a redirect. -- ReyBrujo 20:13, 9 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

List of Battlefield 1942 mods edit

I've changed my reccomendation due to the improvement, but I also suggest a possible merge into the main game article seeing as the amount of info is much reduced. Either that, or a slight name change to modding in BF1942 or Bf1942 mods since its not really a list. Dåvid ƒuchs (talk • contribs) 16:18, 23 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Deathnote01.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Deathnote01.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
