Request reason:

It may be that I'm in the same IP range as a blocked user as I have never caused any collateral damage to any wikipedia entry so cannot think of any other reason why the block is in place

Decline reason:

Only the underlying IP is blocked to prevent vandalism. Editor states they can edit other pages. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 17:51, 28 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I can't see any block. Could you post the exact message you are getting? Thanks. Peridon (talk) 16:20, 26 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

sorry, should have mentioned the block is in place for anonymous only: Editing from 2.24.64.0/18 has been disabled by Fastily for the following reason(s):

possible collateral damage This block has been set to expire: 22:17, 10 March 2012 thanks

That range-block was initiated by Fastily on December 16. Your only mainspace edit from this account, a punctuation correction, was made on December 19. If you are trying to edit as an IP you will not be able to do so; your account should work. Do you have any other accounts? --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 12:04, 27 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

I understand that I can edit pages from my account but I object to the IP block being there in the first place as I've done nothing to warrant it and I'm now being inconvenienced because of it. I've tried contacting Fastily but have had no response. I have no other accounts, no.

You may not have done anything to warrant it, but in terms of protecting the project, we have to block anonymous editing from certain IP's a helluva lot (we currently have thousands of IP address subject to the same restrcition). As per WP:BLOCK, this is nothing to take personally as it's not directed towards you. As long as you're having no problems editing, please do not worry about underlying IP blocks - it's there to prevent you from looking bad. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 17:49, 28 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
