Speedy deletion of Hans-Werner Hunziker edit

A tag has been placed on Hans-Werner Hunziker requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Parent5446 (t n c k e l) 12:00, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your ref in Eye movt in lang rdg edit

Hi, thanks for that, but can you insert an English translation of the title, perhaps in square brackets? That's standard practice in journals. TONY (talk) 05:11, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

OK. Thanks for the suggestion.--Hans-Werner34 (talk) 11:52, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

It's your book? Pity it's in German. Sorry to be fussy, but I see no publisher, city or year. Are you the sole author of the book (it appears so as expressed). Is it a review of the literature? And I do find it odd that the first comma is not a colon "In the eyes of the reader: ....."—that would be normal in English.

Are you a psychologist researcher?

I started this article, but know it only from a lit review in my doctoral dissertation, which was on eye movement in music reading. I find this article now to be seriously undercited. For example, the images. TONY (talk) 12:09, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I am a psychologist researcher, and have done some of the earliest research on eye movements in problem solving. You find an abstract of it under http://www.learning-systems.ch/multimedia/forsch1e.htm and my curriculum under http://www.learning-systems.ch/multimedia/curr_e.htm

On the other hand I am new to wikipedia, but I intend to work on wikipedia pages concerned with visual perception. At present I am doing research on auditory perception and would appreciate getting a copy of your doctoral dissertation. Best regards --Hans-Werner34 (talk) 12:30, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Hans-Werner Hunziker edit

A tag has been placed on Hans-Werner Hunziker requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

You have recently recreated or reposted material at Hans-Werner Hunziker which previously was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policies. Please do not recreate this page without prior approval from an administrator or you may be blocked from editing. We ask that you respect what Wikipedia is not. If you disagree with the page's deletion, you may seek an independent deletion review.

In addition, it seems that you may be the subject of the article you created. You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you.

Finally, the text of Hans-Werner Hunziker appeared to be identical to a another, copyrighted webpage: [1]. Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. — Gwalla | Talk 18:02, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for the error. I pasted the old version instead of the new one. Now this has been amended. The reason why I have to write a page on myself in English is the following: All my publications are so far in German. There is already a German Wikipedia article on Hans-Werner Hunziker. --Hans-Werner34 (talk) 18:15, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

The OTRS-Ticketnumber 2008042910019182 certifies, that there is no copyright infringement.--Hans-Werner34 (talk) 20:22, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Eye movement in ordinary tasks edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Eye movement in ordinary tasks, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Tan | 39 16:00, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Eye movement in ordinary tasks edit

I have nominated Eye movement in ordinary tasks, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Eye movement in ordinary tasks. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Tan | 39 21:59, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think some of the content from that article might still be useful as, say, one paragraph in an article about a more general subject.  Sandstein  21:21, 23 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Karl Duncker edit

If you look at the difference between your revision and the one I reverted to, it should be obvious. I'm not sure what you did, but it cut off the latter half of the article. Katharineamy (talk) 20:43, 16 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
