Hello, HannSel19 and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 17:12, 11 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

ENG 465 Check-In

edit

Hi Hannah,

This is Sam, the TA from ENG 465! Prof. Hanley asked me to help get in touch with everyone this weekend to make sure the Wiki assignments are moving along smoothly.

To be totally honest, I'm only leaving you a message here because I want to touch base with everyone Prof. Hanley asked me too... I was not surprised at all to see that your project is already coming along so well. (By the way, I saw you presented at the HERA Conference, that's so cool! Congratulations!)

Ultimately, Prof. Hanley is responsible for approving topics, but I think yours will be totally fine! It's definitely within the scope of our class and even though most of the sources in the References are about awards, as you noted, that's a good sign for it being a notable topic and for other quality sources being out there. And of course, you've done a fantastic job of building your bibliography, and even starting your draft in the sandbox! Glad to see it.

One thing that I noticed another student did while I was going through and trying to offer everyone feedback, was posting her in-progress bibliography in the Talk Page of her chosen article. She was soliciting feedback and received some suggestions very quickly from an experienced Wikipedia editor. Just an idea you might consider, but certainly not something you have to do!

I have my email notifications on, so feel free to respond to me here if you do have any questions or concerns that you think I could help with! Or feel free to message me on Zoom, if that would be more helpful to you. --Sjnickerson (talk) 01:46, 7 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Sam!
Thanks for reaching out, and I appreciate the advice about posting my bibliography for feedback on my article page! I don't have any questions at this time, but I will definitely let you know if anything comes up.

Sweet, glad to hear it's going well! --Sjnickerson (talk) 19:53, 7 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi again Hannah,
I just left you the "greenlight" Prof. H wanted everyone to get before moving their draft into their live Wikipedia articles a few moments ago on your article draft's Talk Page. Just wanted to make sure you see it! Awesome work by the way! --Sjnickerson (talk) 22:25, 20 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
