Sorry for very belated reply. I really appreciate your welcome. As an editor by trade, I read widely and have a head (and passion!) for facts, so I thought I could contribute from time to time. But the process was so damn complicated that I gave up. I do appreciate, depend on, and contribute monthly to Wikipedia/Wikimedia, however. The single most valuable thing to me that I can't readily find anywhere else? Wikipedia includes the Arabic-alphabet spelling of all the Arabic names I've ever looked up, so I can check transliterations to make sure they're (reasonably) accurate. As an editor I'm a nonfiction generalist, but Middle Eastern history and current affairs are sort of a sub-specialty. Hagwind (talk) 21:50, 23 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
