Heath Ledger

edit

some one keeps removing heathledger.net link from the external. thank you. this is a site run by a person who knows Heath Ledger. it is the number one source on Heath and for some reason, it keeps getting deleted. please explain.— Preceding unsigned comment added by HLNET (talkcontribs)

Can you please stop adding the same website to the Heath Ledger page. It is already listed in the external link section and should not be placed anywhere else in the article. Kind regards, nancy (talk) 19:53, 5 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Heath Ledger. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Conflict of interest

edit

i am a fan of the site. it has been around for over 6 years. my username and the actual website does not have anything related. i do not know the owners or the people who run the site. thanks.— Preceding unsigned comment added by HLNET (talkcontribs)

Based on your user name and single minded adding of a link to the Heath Ledger article, it appears you have a conflict of interest.

  If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. Pairadox (talk) 07:45, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Last warning

edit

How is it considered spamming? The listed link is www.heathledger.net/_main/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by HLNET (talkcontribs)

  This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Heath Ledger, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing anyone from linking to them from all of Wikipedia. OhNoitsJamie Talk 17:55, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
