Welcome! edit

Hello, HAART2021, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Renzo Martens, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! August 2021 edit

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Renzo Martens, you may be blocked from editing. Drmies (talk) 12:29, 12 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • I work for Renzo Martens, this page is about his work.We wish to add information on his work. It is not promotional or advertising material. We are a non for profit organisation.
    • The way you wrote it up was promotional. Non profits do promotion too. You have a COI, so you need to declare that. Please read Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with close associations and follow the guidelines. And now I understand your username: it's Human Activities Art 2021, and that can't be--please see WP:PROMONAME. WP:UNC explains how you can change your username--and you have to change it, because what you have now is not in accordance with our guidelines, and that means that the account will be blocked. So take care of these things first, and then we can talk about content. But please do NOT send me a draft--I already have a job. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 13:18, 12 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello Drmies, I don't know if this is the right way to communicate with you but I wish to send you a draft for the Renzo Martens page so you can check for promotional or advertising material. This is not my intention. You have been removing new content, that I added to the Renzo Martens page today, but you have also removed content that was already there; the paragraph about Martens' work Episode I. The page is now not only outdated but also incomplete. Could you let me know how I can send you new content we wish to add to the Renzo Martens page. Thank you! Kind regards, (HAART2021 (talk) 13:07, 12 August 2021 (UTC))Reply

  • I will respond to this in a bit. Drmies (talk) 13:13, 12 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Real quick: improper information should be removed. That content, plus a lot more, was improper. That the page was outdated or incomplete, that's sad, but we cannot have articles full of unverified and promotional stuff. Look at my edit to the article; I tried to add that content neutrally. PS separate sections on the works can be helpful, but it also destroys the chronology of biography. I suggest steering away from that format. Drmies (talk) 13:18, 12 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
